It only takes one flaw to ruin a gait belt… This gait belt is fine, and it’s nice that you can disinfect it….except it’s too slippery and doesn’t hold once you put it on a patient. Constantly readjusting and if you don’t get it suffocatingly tight, it’s not going to stay in place enough to do anything if you actually have to use it. Also, if you use it on a clinical rotation, your instructor will constantly make fun of how much your gait belt “sucks.” Don’t buy this.
Used in Hospital by PT My wife is a physical therapist and she needed something she could effectively clean between clients. She loves this and several of her co-workers are ordering them because they like it too.
Easy to use and disinfect after each patient Work at a SNF and this is awesome to use due to being able to disinfect after each patient. It does slip up more than the cloth belts but this is an easy fix with just repositioning. Would highly recommend.
