Made out of good material. It is a “costume” and comes in … Much prettier in person than it is on the model in the picture. It has the look of crushed velvet and it is more navy in color. We ordered the “Medium/Large 10-14”. My daughter is 6 foot tall is in between a size 8 & 10. It is easy to hem the dress if its too long The tightest part of the dress is the hip and waist. Make sure to measure yourself, so you choose the right size. There is a thin gold string attached that can work as a belt to tighten the dress at the waist, but you may just want to buy some thicker gold ribbon at a craft store. The sleeves are very long.
