Keeps the dishwasher smelling fresh and keeps the deposits away. Have been using monthly for over 2 years and my Samsung Dishwasher is working perfect. I removed the cover in the dishwasher sump after two years to see how well the Finish Dual Action was doing. After two years the heating element in my dishwasher looks just like new. The photo shows the condition of my dishwasher sump, there was only a little minor gunk trapped, but no hard water build-up. I have attached a photo. In the photo you can see that no hard water or calcium deposits have formed…

Phenomenal results on an old dishwasher! I don’t bother writing reviews about general household items such as this. But on this product, Finish Dishwasher Cleaner, I had to. My dishwasher is 26 years old, with a plastic interior. Still works great, but obviously over 26 years, stains had built up from pans that rusted in the dishwasher, dirt in general and greasy grime that just stained the plastic. So when Amazon offered this product as a Daily Deal, I thought “Hmmm, wonder if that would work?” I had zero expectations…

(HELLO EXPENSIVE) Note that I am a clean freak and don’t just pile dirty dishes in my washer expecting some imaginary little green … I stumbled upon this as an “other buyers also purchased as well” since I solely buy Finish products for my dishwasher on Subscribe and Save on Amazon. This stuff is GOLD! I live in AZ and our water is HARD. As in, you can use a fork to eat it, kinda hard. (not really but it’s filled with all sorts of stuff) Always leaves scale and crud on my fixtures and shower doors. Anyhow, my 6 month old dishwasher wasn’t working as well as it did (it’s practically new?) and I was out of ideas…
