Be Prepared For The Worst – Highly Reocmmended This “Ever Ready First Aid Universal Aluminum Splint, 36 Inch Rolled” came highly recommended from an instructor at a class I took on emergency first aid. We teach firearms safety and offer “live fire” instruction at a range that is fairly remotely located so I realized that it would be prudent to get some medical training keep a well stocked “blow out” kit on hand.
Good to have for EMT kit What you expect. A thin slab of aluminum covered in thin orange foam. These are really more of a one time use item. If you deploy them and they contact med tape the foam peels apart and if they get bloody or dirty forget it and replace it. They are not super stiff for a walking leg splint or thrasher’s arm but enough for a bit of bracing during normal transport.
This was a gift These were a gift for a family member going backpacking so I’m rating as that they work as should and hoping not needed. That’s why four stars. Thankfully unused so far but I trust the product and the reviews.
