The problem: it doesn’t fit our “standard” door knobs. So if you have slightly smaller door knobs, you are probably good, but in our 20 year old house with the original door knobs, terrible fit – too tight and caused our child to enter rooms at warp speed instead of keeping her out. I’ve contacted the company directly with my issue on 3/11 so we will see…

Check your door knob size before buying These were a tad too small for our door knobs, which look identical to the product pictures. The covers are tight enough to prevent the door knobs from turning freely, which can cause the latch to get stuck in a retracted/open position. That would obviously defeat the purpose of a baby safety cover on a door knob. BETTER THAN THE OTHER BRANDS! I don’t recall which brand we tried before this, but they did not have a rubber grip so you had to insert your fingers into the hole and squeeze or rather pinch the doorknob to turn it. Plus a two-year-old could put his finger in, pull down and break it off. They were cheap and did not work.These ones, on the other hand, work like a charm.
