Rubber Foot Is Too Weak These are no match for the originals that came with my cane, these may look rugged but after only a short week one of the legs of my cane punched right through the rubber boot. There is a steel washer embedded at the bottom of the rubber foot to prevent the leg from punching through but the rubber is just too thin and the washer was pushed out.
They wear out quickly They are easy to pop on and off, but seem to wear out every two months for a lady that barely walks anywhere. Her longest trip each week is two block there and two back. The rest of the time she goes across the street and back once a day most days. I would have hoped for more durability. Still, she is satisfied, and they seem to do, whatever it is they’re supposed to do, well enough for her purposes.
Expensive but an exact replacement Exact replacement for a Medline MDS86222W cane. The diameter and height matches. The cane is $26 and this (black) is $10 so it’s pricey. Hard to give it more than 3 stars for that reason.
