It was easy for him to put together I bought this product for my 7 year old son who is a space/solar system enthusiast. He was so excited when he saw this. It was easy for him to put together. The inner planets orbit together at one speed and the outer planets orbit together at a different speed. You can also turn the planets manually which is nice. Solar System Recommended ages say 8-12 but my experience has showed that it is great for ages 6+. Thereâs not much cooler than a neat way to learn about the solar system and this is it. Of course it cannot show planet sizes or distances to scale (no classroom model can) but weâve enjoyed watching the planets revolve around the sun as well as see the sunâs light shine on the planets.
