More uses than you thought! Great emergency gear … and has many uses.After my dog’s surgery the vet put him in one of those stupid cones. It interfered with his vision, he couldn’t get in and out of his crate with it, and he couldn’t lie down comfortably.I replaced it with a splint-collar. That kept him from bending around and getting to his sutures – but allowed him much better range of motion and a lot more comfort.You never know how you’ll use one of these!
Smart addition to a well stocked first aid kit This is just like the SAM splint, but with a smaller price tag. I have one of these in my first aid kit, and have played around with it, trying different wraps to immobilize various injuries. I carry ace bandages as well as some self adhering bandage wrap to use with this splint in my kit. I’ve used various types and styles of these splints and this is comparable quality.
Great nearly universal splint! Same thing as the brand name, fraction of the cost. Great basic roller, adaptable, cutable splint. This one is very similar to the brand band S*A*M splints you see everywhere, just that this one is a generic version for a fraction of the cost. Doors the same job though! You can use these to that everything from a broken wrist to leg to making a makeshift cervical collar in a pinch. Handy to keep in your trauma bag, though excessive for an individual first aid kit.
