Base Legs are not wide enough. May tip over!! Beware I have had one of these types of step stools with a handle in my medical office for ten years now. People use it every time they step up on off the treatment table. The one that I had is sturdy, heavy, solid, a workhorse. I needed a second one for another treatment room. This Duro-Med stepstool looks very shiny but the metal is too light. Itâs not a nice heavy metal. Itâs also wobbly which is the worst issue.My workhorse stepstool is on the left in the photo. Falling Apart I purchased the step stool in September of 2017. It is now December 2017. The band around the step is falling off and the rubber tread on top of the step is completely loose. I have only used this stool to step into bed. I do not recommend buying this step stool.

Would not purchase this Duro Med Step Stool…made in China Bolts and nuts would not go together. The worst product I have ever had to put together. I have put kids playhouses and a canopy bed together with less frustration. Spent over 45 minutes trying to make nuts and bolts work, finally headed out to Home Depot to purchased bolts and nuts that would work since I am having surgery Monday and need this item to get into my bed. DO NOT RECOMMEND. If parts were of quality this item would have taken less than 5 minutes to put together.
