Good chair for larger people requiring head support and reclining feature. This is a heavy duty chair, made for big people. My son has ALS and needed the hear and neck support of the high back. The high back is removable if you don’t need it all the time. The “brake” grips on the back are not brakes — they are the recline mechanism. The wheel brake on the one we received is forward of the wheel and might be in the way of a person trying to propel themselves by using the wheel rails. The perfect chair for us. My husband loves his new wheelchair. It’s everything we hoped it would be. The seat is nice and wide so he doesn’t feel cramped and has room for even the largest jacket or blanket when he needs them. The Recline feature helps a lot because he can’t sit upright on his own and he doesn’t feel like he’s going to tumble out and he can rest his head back. The tires don’t look anything like this picture The tires don’t look anything like this picture. The ones you’ll get are very thin, flimsy, and threadless. They provide little if any shock absorption whereas the tires in this picture are beefy, threaded, and look like rubber which means they could absorb bumps and potholes much smoother. The rest of the chair looks like the picture but I think you might agree the big wheels are highly essential component of a wheel chair.
