Poor design and build quality that injures users The following is my completely candid and unbiased review of the Drive wheelchair, which I purchased to transport my mother short distances after she became unable to walk.In brief, I would not recommend this item to anyone due to its poor design and build quality. The chairâs one redeeming value is that it folds quickly and relatively compactly; however it is remarkably cumbersome and heavy to place in and remove from a car trunk. Great Sturdy Little Wheelchair – Surprised It Costs So Little Comes almost totally assembled, took a whole 30 seconds to put it together. That’s right I said 30 seconds and no tools and its sturdy! The seat belt is amazingly sturdy. I am in the medical field and will say this is a great little wheelchair. I’ve seen others like it and they were junk. Not this one though, I shocked and amazed at how well it is built. That being said it is for smaller people ie narrow in the hip. I am 6’1″ and 250 pounds but I can fit in it. Folds up very nicely, sturdy, and easy to handle. Excellent product! Bought this for my grandfather who recently had a stroke. His mobility is now very slow and a chair like this to improve mobility was necessary for all of us.. Was a steal from the Warehouse Deals. It is lightweight (relatively lightweight anyway), easy to fold up, and handles very smoothly.
