Great cane, just what I was looking for . . . Exactly what I was looking to buy. An aluminum adjustable cane w/ a hard resin handle! Also, its adjustable ring is solid metal too. Not cheap plastic. Why I wanted such a cane? Because it’s washable, top to bottom. I garden outside, get dirty, all while using this cane which as I stated is washable. Great buy. BTW, this is a repeat buy for me. I have had this very same cane for more than 12 years then misplaced it. And now I have this same tried and true cane again. Happy camper.
Good Quality – have used another one for many years. This product is manufactured in Taiwan (not mainland China). That is my only problem with it – but doesn’t warrant dropping any stars. I’ve used another Drive cane (same exact model) for about 10 years, and considering I’m 6’2″ tall @ 350lbs, this thing holds up great. It’s also an additional inch (2.5 cm, prox) longer than most other extendable canes. And the slip-nut is made of metal… not plastic as you’ll find with other canes.I ordered an identical 2nd unit to use two…
Lightweight, quiet cane The Drive Medical round handle cane works wonderfully well. When I wanted one for my car, I bought another brand with a plastic connector but it started clicking with each step which makes me crazy. The Drive metal connector can be tightened enough that the cane doesn’t click. I don’t care for the hard plastic handle, but it is much more sanitary than the foam handles. Some tennis racket handle wrap gives me a soft wrap that can be sanitized. Now I have a cane that meets all my requirements.
