Similar in style to others but with a distinctively pretty finish I purchased the Peacock design cane to assist me as I hobble around with a walking boot. Others of the collapsible style advertise a maximum human weight of 250 pounds, but this manufacturer claims 300 pounds. My body comes nowhere near either maximum to test its reliability, I’m just mentioning it because I see no difference between this one and canes sold by other manufacturers. Pretty and functional If only the cane came with some sort of case or band to hold it closed when folded, it would be perfect. I’ve had one for years and got this one for my mom. So convenient when going out – no more canes crashing out into the aisle at restaurants, tripping people at church, or accidentally leaving it somewhere. Especially good if you only need a cane occasionally as it is easy to tuck into car pocket. The pretty prints make it fashion instead of a badge of disability. Treat yourself!
Needs adjusting for short people Other reviews noted the sizing issue. At 5′ 0″, I must say, size DOES matter. This cane was too long and awkward to use. However, it is also nothing a good Dremel couldn’t fix! I compared it to my other canes and it needed 2 inches taken off from the shortest adjustment. This can be accomplished by removing the rubber tip, wearing EYE PROTECTION, and using a metal cutting tool to remove the additional length and smooth the remaining end of the tube.
