Experience the convenience and value of two outstanding products in a single safe, convenient aid to improving daily mobility with the Duet Rollator/Transport Chair from Drive Medical. As a Rollator, the Duet surpasses a standard walker by eliminating the need to lift the device and allowing you to walk with an easy, smooth gait. It handles uneven, outdoor terrain with ease and provides a comfortable and convenient place to rest with its cushioned seat. But the Duet is also a transport chair, making it great for being escorted around your home, or around the shopping mall. Simply lift the armrests, shift the backrest and lower the footrest into place, and your Duet is now a comfortable seat for you while a caregiver easily pushes you.
Great multi purpose machine I bought the Duet for my mother to replace a rollator (rolling walker/wheeled walker). She would walk a short distance and then turn around in sit in it and expect my dad to push her. It was pretty hard on dad. I suggested that we get her a wheelchair, to which she responded, absolutely NOT. A wheelchair would make her look old and frail (never mind she is 92 and frail) ;->
CAUTION — POTENTIAL FOR INJURY This is the second Drive Medical transport wheelchair/rollator that I’ve owned. I really wanted to like this product. It has some nice features. However, in addition to getting around, the whole point of this product is SAFETY. On that note, I don’t believe this is a safe product to use, and would advise AGAINST purchasing this product.
Great chair overall, but heavier than most other models I purchased this for my mother and she says that it is sturdier and moves much more smoothly than her old rollator/walker. However it *is* heavy and she has trouble putting into the back of her car when she runs errands.
