Scent kind of overpowering, too thick to be practical, seems to have changed from the original We’ve switched to unscented for a couple of reasons. First the scent on this has definitely changed. It was very very strong. So strong in fact that the dog would throw up every time she laid on a freshly washed blanket. It does still have the good static control and so on. This stuff smells amazing.. This stuff smells amazing…I can’t believe I have lived for 24 years and I had never used fabric softener. I sweat all day at work and my clothes smell like they just came out of the wash when I get home. Do yourself a favor and buy this stuff. I seemed to have good luck following the directions for a full load, however for a light load I have to use medium to get the clothes to smell as good. Doesn’t smell like Downy!! I’ve used Downy for years, always buying the original April Fresh scent. I was so disappointed, after buying this huge container, to discover that the scent is not the same as what I’ve gotten at the grocery store. I’ll use it, but won’t be buying it again, and may have to (gasp) change fabric softeners in order to find a scent that doesn’t nauseate me if this is indeed the “new” April Fresh scent.
