SAVE YO MONEY. I’ve used this item a couple of times since purchasing it – only reason I purchased was becuase our new washer required a downey ball to distribute the fabric softer during the rinse cycle. (The top locks and can’t be unlocked while it’s being used.) Anyway, I followed the directions per my washer and the ball – the first time, the ball had the same amount of fabric softner – I don’t think any of it was actually used. Must have for HE Washer!! I love this product. I have a HE washer and needed one, but have had trouble locating these in my local store. Thankfully Amazon was here to save the day!
No fabric softener dispenser? No problem. My new apartment came with a washer and dryer, but the washer had no fabric softener dispenser. I gave this a shot because I figured it would be at least marginally better than simply pouring the stuff in. WAY better. Basically indistinguishable from having a proper fabric softener dispenser, other than having to retrieve this from the bottom of the washer and pour it out every time. My clothes are softened like normal and it really is just plain easy to use.
