How to Properly Size a Walking Cane
Wearing your shoes, naturally stand upright. Put your arms to your side with a natural bend at the elbow. Have someone measure the distance from your wrist joint to the floor. This is the height at which to set your cane. If you don’t have someone to measure for you, convert your height to inches, divide by two and add a half-inch to this height.

If you have to use a cane, make it look good! Had to get a cane after a recent knee injury – but have you guys seen the boring canes at the pharmacy? Stunning colors and very friendly for shorter people Bought this for my mother who is 4’11” and this works perfectly for her height! The colors are stunning! When I use a cane I would love this one too… hopefully that will never be. She loves the handle and wristband for it so she can keep it around her wrist so she doesn’t drop it. A quiet, lightweight cane that suits my needs. I have Neurofibromatosis, so my balance is shot and I need help stabilizing myself when I walk.
