Terrible project for 8+ child Rarely do children’s projects inspire such ire in me. My daughter is well past the 8+ age range suggested for this product. Yet, the suggestion that children “just assemble the cardboard forms and just wrap, wrap, wrap” is laughable wrong. What this leaves out is the need to use awful double sided adhesive in order to assemble the frame and add the yarn. Dads (possibly others) beware…unless you have loads of free time on your hands. As a Dad who has worked on a ton of crafts with my kids I want to warn you to think carefully before purchasing this for an 8 or 9 year old. We have experiences with these types of projects. My daughter and I did the yarn tree together and we were both able to contribute to the project and it turned out really nicely.The yarn elephants are an entirely different beast. These were fun to do as a family Harder than they look! These were fun to do as a family, but my 10 yr old crafter struggled and my 6 yr old gave up – so it became more of a “tell mom which color you want to do next” project.
