The Ann Williams Group Craft-tastic Dessert String Art Kit is sure to satisfy anyone’s taste for a sweet arts and crafts project. Designed for kids ages 10+, the kit includes enough goodies to create a deliciously cute Kawaii cupcake and an ice cream cone on two 8.5” foam canvasses. It’s more than a simple string art kit, though – the addition of glitter foam, glitter paper, and pom poms for use as eyes, mouth, cherry, drips, and more enhance the creative opportunities. Kids can use our patterns or use their imaginations to create their own sweet designs! When done, they will have artwork they will be proud to display for family, friends, and others to enjoy.
The Dessert String Art Kit makes a great gift for tweens and teens who love baking (or eating tasty treats!), or those who just plain love arts and crafts. Assembly is easy for those with a bit of crafting experience – simply push in the pins and string away, adding toppings as desired. The 146-piece kit includes 2 8.5” foam canvasses and all the cardstock, thread, yarn, and other accessories required. No more shopping for additional materials and special tools! It’s a magical, non-digital activity that will keep them off screens and put the focus on their creativity and imagination.

Best for younger age range: maybe 6-9 This is a dead-simple craft which is far too simplistic for teens, and even my 9 year old was really at the top end of what I think is a good age range for it. My 9 year old was able to complete the whole box completely without help or guidance of any kind, and each canvas took her about 30 minutes to complete. Any child who can be trusted to poke a pin into a foam board could do this project. (So don’t give it to a 2 year old, for example.) It’s also not a “creative” craft because it’s…
Cute dessert art This is a cute string art kit. The canvases have a slight sparkle to the background which is so much more fun than plain white like in other kits I’ve gotten. The pins go into the canvas easily and stay put. I will sometimes put a dab of glue on the end of the pin before putting it in to be sure it’s secure, but my daughter didn’t do that with these. She had no problems following the instructions and recreating the cute cupcake and ice cream come from the pictures. What I like best about this…
Cute design, easy instructions, high price I have a 9-year-old and 11-year-old who did this craft kit by themselves. The instruction booklet was easy to follow with step-by-step pictures with written instructions. Each string art canvas has it’s own instructions. The kit contains everything you will need to complete both projects. The projects are fun and straightforward. The difficulty is relatively easy. The experience was fun for the girls. However, as a mom with a trained eye, the quality is really lacking for the…
