Don’t buy this for kids, it has a strong, very toxic, smell. We were very dissatisfied with the construction play mat and toys we purchased as a Christmas present for our 3 year old. The main problem is that the mat has such a strong chemical odor we had to take it outside immediately when it was opened. Our 5 year old daughter got a headache from the fumes coming off it two days later when we brought it inside, so out it went again. It has a less pervasive odor now but it is still noticible, several days after Christmas. It was sad for our 3 year old…
1 year old Godson loves this I ordered this for my friend’s Godson for Christmas (however she could not wait that long to give it to him!). He is 1 year old and this was for his bedroom floor. He absolutely loves it!
Pretty unbelievable this is able to be sold Pretty unbelievable this is able to be sold. We received it and it had a strong chemical smell coming from the backing. We put it outside for 24 hours thinking that it might just need to off-gas. Afterwards, put it in our son’s room for a few hours and several days later a chemical smell is still in the carpet. Next step is to get the carpet professionally cleaned.
