May save me from surgery on Thumb joint. I waited way too long to get this. I didn’t know what was wrong with my thumb but it was getting more and more painful, swollen and disfigured. When the pain seemed to be reflecting all the way to my shoulder I was popping ibupropen so much they affected my stomach. Finally I showed it to my primary doctor and she brushed it off with,”it’s probably arthritis” along with an attitude of what do you expect at your age? and no suggestions on how to care for it. Great splint! I’ve been wearing these for over two years and they work great. I need to push off with my hands to get out of chairs, etc because I have muscular dystrophy. As a result of years of abuse, I have very bad arthritis in my thumbs. These splints relieve the pain of the arthritis somewhat but more importantly, the strap that wraps around in front of my thumbs gives me extra padding on the palms of my hands.
Not large enough I ordered the small and that is what I got. I had a small several years ago and it fit perfectly…this one is way too small!!!! should send it back but seems more trouble than it is worth…..good product but like everything else, seem to think people are getting smaller and so are the sizes, not true at all!!!!!
