These have done a better job of spreading the pressure Does the job. I had two walls that are painted wood paneling and the gate’s pressure was scraping off the paint. These have done a better job of spreading the pressure. That said, the gate I use (Kidco) does have a bit of wiggle room in the cup. Not enough to let the gate fall over but the plastic is a little slick. This could probably be improved by cutting some thin rubber, like a door liner, and gluing it in the center, where the gate mounts go in. That would give the gate a little more grip…

These are awesome – even on the days when my kids try … My kids are always hanging on the baby gate which cause it to slide and damage the wall. These are awesome – even on the days when my kids try to climb over the gate these hold and the gate doesn’t budge. Really saves your walls! Highly recommend.

This pretty much does what you need it to do This pretty much does what you need it to do. It disperses the weight/pressure evenly onto more space of the wall. The only thing I will say is if you have a BIG dog, they are probably still going to somehow push it down. Our 100+lbs Cane Corso hasn’t yet, but she can be super mischievous. They were super easy to install, literally you put them on the fall first and then put your friction circle from your gate and you are golden.
