I find that it has been helpful we have use different foods like yogurt we dip it in the yogurt and give it to my son. It helps him with a lot of sensory issues and strength for his mouth and it definitely helps exercise the muscles. Holds up well My daughter has really taken to her “chew toy” as she calls it. She really goes at it and I haven’t seen any kind of damage or deformation or toothmarks in it or anything. I don’t know how much therapeutic value it has, but we initially bought it to help keep her fingernails out of her mouth and at least she can’t chew her nails when she’s chewing her chew toy (plus the toy is more fun)The only semi-complaint I have is that it gets lost easily.
