Hinges loosen very quickly and then most of mop can’t make contact with the floor it’s supposed to be cleaning. In very short order the mop-hinge became overly flexible and I found myself mopping only with the inside third of the mop. The front part lifted from the floor no matter how gently I pushed. Miles ahead of competition! I’ve used this mop a few times since purchasing it at Amazon and I must say I am thoroughly impressed with its performance. My floors look much cleaner and the mop itself is so much easier to use than previous similar style mops I’ve purchased. Still too soon to know if it will hold up well under heavy usage but so far I’m very pleased with it. Strong enough to withstand tough scrubbing action! The handle is sturdy which makes scrubbing stuck-on messes easy! The sponge head is easy to remove, although I don’t feel like it gets that clean when it washes (stains easily from dirt) and the spikes that hold it to the mop are sharp, so watch out! I stabbed myself a couple of times… All in all, this is my favorite mop from Casabella so far though!
