Performs adequately Lasts about 3.5 years. Not too bad for the price. And in fact Iâm ordering our second one as this seems to be the best one available with these product parameters. We might get creative on fastening the new one. The bolt holes are elongated which does cause some movement. Plastic washers Ultimately I was able to make the seat work, but all components were not correct right out of box. First, the handles come uninstalled and require assembly. Since the seat is curved, one end of each handle is longer than the other. This creates the need for a distinct right handle and left handle as only one end is extended to accommodate the curved seat. I was shipped 2 left side handles. FLAWED DESIGN – Bolts loosen after a few weeks, allowing seat to slide along slots causing UNSAFE condition It’s well made but has a fatal flaw. The entire seat is secured by two 4″ long bolts that go through where your old seat was attached. (you use your own toilet seat). The two bolts in the back design is okay for a simple toilet seat. This is a much bigger piece of hardware. Using only two bolts on one side so close together is inadequate at best.
