PIONEER PRINCESS…BLAZING THE TRAIL! This Pioneer Costume is exactly as depicted. My daughters needed this for school…Pioneer Days! The dress is a pretty blue calico print with cotton lace trim. It is plenty long and may even need to be hemmed. I’d much prefer too long, with the option to shorten, than toooo short. HUGE and mediocre quality. This thing is HUGE. I bought a medium for my daughter that wears an 8 and realized they don’t follow typical kids sizing. So, I ordered the small, which is a 6-8. My daughter is about average height and wears an 8 in name brand clothing. I had to cut the bottoms 5″ or so off of the small dress and hem it with hot glue in a pinch. The bonnet was not well made and broke the first time I attached the Velcro. That being said, it served it’s purpose and she wore it to Pioneer Day at school.
It fit great, although was a bit long Ordered the size Small for my 8 year-old. It fit great, although was a bit long. Once she put on boots with a slight heel, the length was much better. So depending on how tall your child is…..you may have to hem the dress. Also, be aware that this is a polyester outfit, NOT a cotton one. My daughter used this for Pioneer day at her school.
