Provides rigid protection Does the job. My only complaint is that the edge around the top of the thumb piece is quite sharp instead of smooth, not enough to cut a person, but a little irritating at times.
it did a better job because there is not flex at all and … I ordered the wrong size the first time. Because the product is ridged It needs to fit just right. It works well with the liner. Although it took some time get use to compared to other braces I had, it did a better job because there is not flex at all and thumb could not move in any direction. My injury healed a lot faster than it was healing with other braces.
My swimming splint I have a thumb splint from my doctor. When I asked about swimming, she said I could take it off but not use my right hand / arm much and be very careful. Well, I tried swimming that way, but after a short time I was in too much pain. So I went on Amazon in search of a splint for my thumb that could withstand the pool.
