This boxer’s brace is perfect for those difficult to treat boxer’s fractures. A fracture to the fourth or fifth metacarpal bone is called a boxer’s fracture because it is often sustained through punches (but not only). This comfortable neoprene splint offers top of the line support and comfort in an FDA approved design. This means that it was certified to help treat this specific injury, and the FDA approval designates the quality and integrity of this boxer splint design. This metacarpal splint has an internal bendable aluminum that can be molded to the hand, to hold your exterior digits in whatever the desired position. It will keep your fingers still, while the straps will help you determine the exact level of flexion desired for those fingers and joints. When received, simply follow the instructions shown on the packaging to quickly strap on the metacarpal brace. If you have any issues at all, reach out the the American Heritage Industries team, and they will walk you through the problems (whether sizing or instructions related).
Brace helps fingers heal, DOES NOT deploy super strength spider web… Broke my pinky at work so I splinted it and taped it to my ring finger. It worked really well unless, you know, I had to use that hand. Repeatedly catching the two fingers on things while using my right hand led to more tears than I’d like to admit. The splint fixed that problem immediately by protecting the fingers and, as a bonus, prevented me from subconsciously bending them at the major knuckle (also agonizing at times).I’m not a splint expert, but quality seems excellent. Post fracture surgery My daughter fractured her pinky finger and it required surgery, however they couldnât cast it because of the stitches. I purchased this brace in a size M (she is 10yrs old) to make sure it would fit over her bandages, without the bandages she would fit a small. It has given her extra protection and she tells me that there is almost no pain as long as she is wearing it. She also said that it protects her hand much better than the ace bandages that we were using at first. I did however call her…
Works well but a still a little big for my smaller, female hand Was as described. Easy directions. Holds pinkie and ring finger tight. Although I purchased a small it is still a little too large for my hand and a bit uncomfortable at the wrist. But, I’m healing much faster than when I just taped the fingers. I would have loved to see an XS option.
