The BioBag Kitchen Counter Food Scrap Bin and Compostable Bag Kit is the easiest and cleanest way to start collecting food scraps for backyard or curbside composting. The UmiMax buckets are made from 100% post consumer plastic and ventilated on all sides, including the top. When paired with breathable BioBags, the moisture in food waste evaporates which minimizes the ick factor which can come from collecting food scraps. The buckets are black, sturdy and come with an easy-to-carry handle that locks the lid tight. BioBag Small 3 Gallon Food Scrap Bags take the mess out of cleaning the kitchen compost pail. BioBag Food Waste Bags made from a resin derived from plants, vegetable oils and compostable polymers. BioBag Food Waste Bags are made from GMO (Genetically Modified Organisms) FREE crops. BioBag Food waste bags are Manufactured in the USA with resin sourced from Italy. In addition to disposal in a municipal composting site, BioBag 3 and Food Waste Bags are also certified by Ok Compost (European) for disposal in home backyard compost settings. The certification process tests a product’s ability to decompose at a rate similar to other compostable items placed in the same setting. BioBag products meet the specifications found in ASTM D6400 and will compost rapidly and safely when placed in a municipal or commercial composting facility. Handle is poorly designed In terms of storage of compost in my home, this gets 5 stars.
