Good sturdy quad tip This cane tip is sturdy, solid and well made. I bought it to go on a solid wood hand carved cane. It is not an adjustable cane in any way. I discovered that the cane tip raises the cane about an inch in height. My cane is about 7/8″ at the bottom, and while this tip fit it I was not able to get my cane totally to the bottom of this tip. I painted mine and it looks great! This is a nice stable support for a standing cane. I wanted a stand-up type base but thought these black ones look too geriatric. I am only in my ’50s and I have to use a cane. I painted mine and I think it turned out really nice. I used DecoArt acrylic dazzling metallic paint. The color: Rich Espresso. Then I sprayed it with many coats of gloss acrylic top coat.
