The Monticello cedar wood swing set has all the features of more expensive outdoor swing sets at a terrific value. It has a raised play fort with a wooden roof, and end gables. A raised sun porch is the perfect platform for first checking out the yard from above and then launching down the 8′ Super Safe Speedy Slide. Two ladders, a standard and an open rock wall, let kids climb at their own pace, their own way. A set of monkey bars let them fly high. There’s also a wooden swing set with two belt swings and trapeze swing for even more fun. Below there’s a snack stand covered by a stylish pergola, built-in toy box, and even room for a sand box. The Monticello will last for years and will be the envy of your neighborhood. Upper deck height: 4′
Good product! The playset went up easily for my husband and one other. They sorted pieces, assembled sections, and built it within about 9 hours (both men are very handy)… My only complaint would be that I wish the wood was a bit thicker. It’s definitely sturdy enough, especially for my young grandchildren, but it would have made the playset a 5 star build if the wood planks were thicker.
Boards had split and were glued back together by the company. My daughter love this playset we just got it put up yesterday. But some of the bolts were missing and some of the boards split and you could tell they were obviously glued back together. The wood isn’t treated so when it gets warm well have to treat it ourselves. It took almost 10 hours with 3 people putting this together. The boards are not as sturdy and thick like I thought they would be, but over all my 2 year old loves this. If she was older I probably would have ordered something…
Solid play set. Play set is solid. Very solid. Don’t listen to the folks saying the wood feels flimsy. It’s cedar, so it’s not dense, but naturally resistant to rot. Took me 3 days to put together, but that was with working by myself, in between rain storms. It’s manageable doing it alone, but I’d recommend a helping hand if possible, for some parts at least. Manufacturer includes some extra bolts, nuts and other hardware incase you need them, came in handy when I stripped out a t-nut (my own fault). All parts…
