There’s a trick to make this work This is a positive review, but when I first got these I was ready to write a bad one. I solved the problem I was having.The indicator dot that slides from red to green when the suction is holding (a potentially fantastic and reassuring feature) was not working consistently. Where the right suction would move to 90% green, the left one would only move to about 25% or sometimes 10% green, or not at all. Yet it was holding. I tried different locations and the indicator discrepancy…

Suction Grab Bars I purchased these to install for an elderly person. Other grab bars were screwed to studs outside the shower but I did not want to drill into the fiberglass shower. Both suction bars came off within 24 hours of installation. I read on the Internet about putting a small bead of petroleum jelly around the edge of the suction cups and that trick has worked. Both bars continue to hold and have not failed yet. They are easy to install and can be placed at various angles.

I loved it BUT The first one I got and installed came apart at the pivot point due to a cracked plastic nut and when it came apart it hit my wife in the chest she has a very sensitive chest because of prior cancer treatment. The second one I received I enjoyed taking my first shower after surgery with but my wife just came of and told me the same nut is cracked on this one
