Worth the purchase, but don’t go throwing out all of your towels just yet. I have used many different chamois over the years from being an automotive enthusiast owning several different vehicles that I detailed regularly. This one seems to dry the surface pretty well as long as it is wet or damp to begin with or you have properly dampened the chamois itself (which you are supposed to do)Pros:1. Pretty Good Chamois A very reasonable product, this holds up structurally well to heavy usage, and it’s not a big deal if it gets dried out by accident occasionally. The only thing I don’t love about it, is that the first time I throw it in the washing machine with my towels after it starts getting grubby is that all the yellow color washes out, and it ends up a weird, nondescript, sort of weathered beige color. It gets clean, but looks a bit unappealing after that. Still, for the price, I can’t complain too…
Works As Expected, Good I’ve had overall positive experiences with all of the Amazon Basics products and this was no different.It had a slight chemical odor upon opening it but after getting it wet and ringing it out a few times before using it seemed to get rid of the smell.I’d say it worked nearly as good as the genuine chamois with the exception of a more tacky and sticky feel to it.
