ALEX Art, Monster Art Center is packed full of stuff to keep artists of all ages busy! This art center includes: 12 watercolor paints with palette, 28 colored pencils, 24 oil pastels, 26 crayons, 30 fine tip markers, water bottle, 2 brushes, sponge, 2 drawing pencils, pencil sharpener, eraser, clear and white glue. The 9-inch by 13-inch case features a sturdy metal handle, strong metal clasps and trays that open out to access supplies. Recommended for children 3 years of age and older.
The best art kit out there! This an AWESOME art kit!!! My 5 year old lugs this around everywhere she goes! It is different than most kits and exciting in that it expands outwards and the trays are visible and accessible. The quality is good and it it a great selection of art materials. The only thing I would add that is needed is a pair of scissors and a stack of paper and your little artist is all set. A glue stick would also be a nice addition but this is a plentiful bounty of art supplies. I have purchased bigger kits…
DRIED UP MARKERS!! My daughters were really excited when they received this at Christmas. They still like it but are very disappointed in the markers. There are many that don’t work at all. I wish I could buy some crayola to fit in the slots but that is going to be hard to do (and I shouldn’t have to!!!). They said the crayons and pencils work well but haven’t tried the pastels or paints yet. Sure hope those work. For a set that is supposed to be $89 regularly, it sure isn’t very good.
Crayons, markers and paint didn’t work out of the box I bought this set for my five-year-old daughter at Christmas, and she loved it! It’s heavy and durable, and the way it expands is impressive. HOWEVER, the set came with at least five dried-up markers, you have to push on the crayons hard to get them to work, and a lot of the pastels don’t even show up. We attempted the paint once, but each tube felt empty and I knew I couldn’t squeeze enough out for two kids to paint with. Overall, the quality of the art supplies is extremely disappointing…
