Wear in small doses until you get used to it. I am partially paralyzed below the knees of both legs and have foot drop of the left leg. I have a brace that was given to me in the hospital seven years ago for the foot drop and I also have another shorter, more light weight brace I got about three years ago. Both of these braces are ‘clunkers’. Very high quality. Excellent for MS-Related Drop Foot Excellent fit, versatile for wearing with or without footwear, no need to go up a shoe size (in my experience), shoe will glide on easily with shoe horn; just simply remove lowest Velcro strap. Plastic foot piece can be cut down to fit your individual foot size; scissor guide marks are on the piece. Plastic is very durable and Velcro is extremely high grade.
