Just remove the grip from the packaging, run it under hot water for 30 seconds to allow it to expand, and work the grip over the door knob until it fits comfortably, covering the entire knob. They tend to go off center but help a lot with weak hands and pesky round slippery knobs. These don’t stay on straight. They shift somewhat off center with use. Best used on doorknobs without any kind of locking mechanism you need that hole to reach. But they are a real help if you have weak hands, painful tendons, trigger finger or thumb, etc. If my problems get worse, I’ll be buying more of these. Brilliant product, simple design, excellent quality. I have arthritis in my thumbs and a little in my fingers as well. Because of the thumb pain, it was impossible to grip and turn a door knob. So over the years i figured out how to either grab in an odd way in the palm of my hand or hang my purse strap on it so as to get a grip on it before turning it.
