The installation is super simple. Just take the knobs off I was originally on the fence about this product, but I’m not sure why. I guess I didn’t think it could possibly work as smoothly as it does. The installation is super simple. Just take the knobs off, put the protective cover around the base and reinsert the knobs. You can open the cover by simply pressing on two slightly indented tabs on the sides and it’s a breeze. I would recommend if you are looking for peace of mind while … I finally feel safe! Either my mother was knocking into the stove and setting the stove burners on, or one of my animals was. Either way, on several occasions I’ve come home to the smell of gas. These were a breeze to install. As another person wrote, the knobs get in the way of our oven door somewhat, but it’s not an inconvenience and for the peace of mind of not having our home fill with gas from an unlit pilot light, it’s not a problem at all. These work great. They were easy to put on and easy … Bought these to keep the children and the dogs away from the stove knobs. These work great. They were easy to put on and easy to open up when we are ready to use the stove. Our daughter has tried to turn them a few times, but we just try to distract her before she starts putting too much energy into figuring out how to open them. Since they are clear they are not too noticeable on the stove and because they are plastic they are easy to clean if some food splatters on them.
