Not perfect, but does the job. I have had this guard on my oven for a month and after some modifications, it is working great. First of all, I must say that my toddler is nuts – he is a strong-willed explorer and had a need to figure out everything. I would never walk away while I am cooking, but it keeps him safe while I am cooking on the stovetop. I did have to make some modifications though. Hurt like heck trying to pry it off with my fingers Really hard to slide the guard into the clips, so I would suggest getting someone to help you and/or never take it out of the clips. LOL! And the sticky is SUPPPPPPEERR hard to get off if you ever want to take it down. you can’t just slip something in the groove and pry it off or you risk damaging your appliance. Hurt like heck trying to pry it off with my fingers! Also, I had to put some light colored tape at the top of the edges so you can see it in your peripheral vision, because you cant…
I liked the idea behind this I liked the idea behind this. But it does not work well with all ovens. The top of my double oven was a little too small for the size of the sticky pads and therefore we had trouble getting a good seal on it. It lasted for about 24 hours before the adhesive gave way to my husband bumping into it while trying to remember it was there. The heat from the oven really seemed to play a part in the loosening process as well. May work well for some stoves, just not for ours.
