Get the real thing instead. We own both the Bumkins and the Grabease. I really didn’t want to pay the extra money for more of the grabease and felt it was a waste so I gave the Bumkins a try. My son has a lot of difficulty using the Bumkins version because the fork isn’t hard enough to go through the food. He gets upset when I have to help him because he wants to do it on his own. Worth it! These were such a great purchase for my daughter who was interested in feeding herself. The other spoons were way too long and she could not get control of it so would chunk it across the room and use her hands. She quickly learned how to grasp these and uses them very well to feed herself. Dishwasher safe which is a huge plus and come in several…
Good for 4.5 month old Removing one star because the fork is silly (too bendy) – it would be better if this was a set of two spoons. But both the fork and spoon are working well for my purposes, which is exposing my 4.5 month old to peanuts. He won’t open his mouth to be fed, but he will stick chew toys in his mouth. So I put a thin smear of peanut butter on the utensil and give it to him to chew on. I think these will work well for introducing lots of new flavors this way.
