Ok, But Not Blown Away I usually get the colored Ner Lights for my (oil) chanukkiah. This year, I figured I would save some cash and get these instead. They work ok…but I am not overly impressed. The vials are made from hard plastic. They are covered with yellow caps that you pull off…which gets harder and harder to do as you get oil on your fingers. Visually the plastic is not as attractive to the eye as the glass vials are. Also no wick was included to move the flame from the shamash to the other candles…
What’s the method for lighting the other candles with one of these? Not a huge fan of the oil being loose. Can’t exactly light other oil candles with one of these because the oil isn’t frozen and it will pour out. Also, they’re kind of leaky on their own even with their “spill-proof” caps so shipping could get a little messy. Mine were all greasy all over.
Easy to open! These lights came in a sturdy plastic, with covers easy to remove without damaging the cup of oil. They burned very well, and produced no noticeable smoke. They were great! Loved them more than others I have used in the past.
