The Maddak Hinged Elevated Toilet Seat’s Unique design features a seat riser made of 2 parts that are hinged together, allowing the ring to be lifted in the same manner as your regular toilet seat. The seat is installed using the existing toilet seat and lid (not included) and does not appreciably change the appearance of the toilet nor the décor of the bathroom. Elevates the seating position by 3¨ for a total seating height of 3½ – 4” depending on the toilet seat being used. The additional height makes lowering to and raising from the toilet easier and safer. Ideal for anyone with limited mobility. The hinged design enables a person to easily clean under the elevated toilet seat. Supports up to 350 lb. (159 kg). Hardware kit included. Maddak specializes in home healthcare and rehabilitation products for the senior, disability and rehab markets. We have been recognized as the largest manufacturer in the United States of Aids for Daily Living (ADL). OF ALL RISERS, THIS IS THE ONE TO PURCHASE I say that due to the joy of Steel Steel Steel!I’m so sick and tired of toilet seats and accessories arriving with PLASTIC fittings.Ableware doesn’t show or mention the high quality hardware that makes this item outstanding but I’ve added pics to show the nut and bolts this comes with. The substantial bolts are metal, the wing nut is beefy and metal too. What a difference that makes in installation.Threaded plastic doesn’t give way to smooth…
Not Perfect, But Better Than Anything Else That I Saw I’ve read other reviews that said that the urine guard, shown in the photos, was missing. Evidently, the manufacturer was listening… It’s Back! My only suggestions would be: (1) The bolts, etc. should be stainless steel. I don’t think that they are and I didn’t take time to test them before installing it. (2) It hasn’t been a problem yet, but the slots seem less strong and stable than just a bolt hole would be. (3) It may cause a problem with fitting multiple brands of toilets, but it…
Nice product, but it is MESSY and may present a HEALTH HAZARD The Ableware elevated seat installs quite easily, fits well even on cheap builder’s grade bowls, and appears to remain in very solidly in place. The extra height is very welcome and makes it easier for someone with leg and/or back issues to use the facilities and arise with minimum discomfort or instability.HOWEVER, at least on some bowls, the short front shield lip does not fit all the way against the front of the bowl’s pee rim, which allows urine to not only drip onto the front…
