FORGET THE MAGNET! BRING BACK THE OLD DESIGN THAT HAD REAL “BITE.” Very inferior to another (EARLIER?) model made by the same company, What idiot changed the design of the “teeth” that bite (or in this case, don’t bite) to hold an item securely. They apparently eliminated the design wherein the tip of the clamp FITS INTO the tip of the straight bar. The old design can pick up a piece of dental floss from off a carpet; the new design WON’T HOLD AND PICK UP ESSENTIALLY ANYTHING. Apparently, this was done to accommodate a magnet in the tip of the bar. NO…

Worthless Except for the fact that it won’t grab or pick up anything, it’s pretty darn good. Don’t try to grab something from a tall shelf, because it’s going to slip out and fall on your head. Don’t try to pick up a sock from the floor, because after several frustrating minutes the sock will still be on the floor and your blood pressure will be up 40 points. There are two fatal flaws with this device: First, the pivoting arm doesn’t close completely leaving a 1/2 inch gap. Second the points that should…

this grabber is totally useless. It will not grab and hold anything for my purposes, this grabber is totally useless. It will not grab and hold anything. Iuse it to help me dress by pulling up my pants and it is not strong enough to hold on, it just slips right off. I cannot pick up anything round like a medicine bottle because the item slips out of the grip. Do not buy this item!! There are others on the market that cost about the same and are superior. This one is going into the trash. Itis a waste of money.
