Rough plastic wasn’t an issue I was hesitant to order this rocking horse for my kids 2nd birthday because of the many reviews stating that the plastic seam was rough and cut their children’s skin. It seemed like this was a more recent issue (recent reviews), but I thought I’d give it a try and use my power sander if needed. Well I received it yesterday and was happily surprised to see that the seam showed evidence of being sanded down (there was even some blue plastic “dust” thst I wiped off with a wet rag) and only…
Sharp seam. Dangerous. First of all, the box was smashed up. Annoying bc this was supposed to be a gift. Secondly, after reading the reviews about sharp edges I figured I had better inspect this thing before giving it to my kid. Sure enough there were several spots where the seam was sharp enough to cut soft chubby little fingers. It looks like they try to scrape along the seam in the factory to smooth it out but they did a pretty bad job. Returning. Disappointed.
