All of the bags are green in color to provide a visually appealing look while indicating eco-friendliness and hiding trash bag contents.
Extent and quickness of degradation will depend on surrounding environment and product formulation. Trash bags will degrade when placed in soil or commercial compost in the presence of microorganisms, moisture and oxygen.
In examples, EPI additives can speed up degradation (by 100’s to 1000’s of times faster compared to conventional bags), and can facilitate total degradation within 24 – 36 months when disposed in an appropriate environment (such as a soil environment).

Great bags Purchased these for residential use. Not sure how degradable they are (nor do I plan to test) but I somehow feel better knowing I tried to put forth an effort to be more responsible with the landfills. Not sure if the extra cost was worth it. I was hesitant having green bags but they are much lighter when they are opened. They appear to be a little thicker than other bags that I have purchased in the past. My only complaint is that I wish the individual rolls were smaller. I keep a spare…
Best for lighter debris such as leaves. We have a 30ft wide standoff bamboo that was twisted in a hurricane. We needed something that we could put the debris in that is more environmentally friendly than 30mil bags, and that the debris team could toss onto the truck. These worked. They are thin though and some of the bamboo threads poked through. Will buy again.
Great value when buying Biodegradable We were looking for a large biodegradable garbage bag for a reasonable price and this fits the bill. At a per bag cost it is similar to what we pay for standard garbage bags but without the bells and whistles (like built in ties or scented). We are more than willing to trade those things for something more environmentally friendly. The only thing to be careful of is that they are easy to tear. We used small bits of packing tape to keep the tears from spreading. Worked great.
