Round, oval, elongated?? There are 3 – not 2 toilet shapes. My husband was a contractor so he said we need round. When he installed it he said I was wrong we need elongated. When he installed it he said we need oval! We stayed with elongated even though it’s not exactly right because he could “aim” better. I’m enclosing the pictures of elongated we ended up useding. Getting high on the throne ! Most reviews of this riser are fair. First I will say that after the installation frustrations it is doing a fine job and I haven’t seen anything that could do the job better. Cant secure it sideways I gave 2 stars as it has a major design flaw i.e cant secure it sideways. You can make it work with Velcro like others did. But if you want something that you can just place and remove, look elsewhere.There is no locking feature. No matter how much you tighten the nut, the seat will swing side ways when you sit on it. You dont want to tighten it too much and break the commode. The solution is Velcro. Just put a big piece of Velcro from Lowes or Homedepot at the front and tighten the…
