This is a convenient collection of essential items to assist with bathing, dressing and activities of daily living. Includes products most often recommended by therapists for people rehabilitating from hip or joint replacement procedures
Great package for use during recovery from total hip replacement I Loved the products. Most of them were useful. There was an exception: the sponge on a stick. I purchased this package to use during my recovery from a total hip replacement. I’m not permitted to violate strict “Hip Precautions”. One of those restrictions is to not allow less than a 90 degree angle from trunk to lower extremities. This means I cannot bend over to wash my feet. Therefore in my opinion a 3 ft X 6″ nylon wash cloth would be far more useful for washing the back- and…
Great for post-op or for those with limited range of movement A family member had heart surgery and a “hip kit” like this was recommended by the occupational therapists (OT’s). Overall, a Good Kit to Help with ADL Skills Overall, the tools in this kit get the job done. While I did not have a hip/knee replacement (I had something more serious), these tools have been of great use to me. The grabber is not of the best quality (I bought other ones separately), they do work will with putting socks and and taking them off. The grabber end has a tendency to get stuck but that is easily corrected. My one complain is that the shoe laces were missing – I called Amazon and they corrected the situation.
