Bought for their “shortness” BUT would never buy again – they take time to ramp up to full brightness UPDATE: It took me a while to realize what was happening because it’s been so many years since CFL’s fixed the problem of not turning on instantly. And these do turn on instantly, but at a lower power, and then they ramp up over about 30 seconds to a minute. Great for when you need a shorter bulb A few of my ceiling light fixtures have a dome cover and the regular size CFL bulbs I normally buy are too big. They are 5 inches long and touch the dome. At only 3.8 inches long, these work perfectly in those dome fixtures. I don’t see any difference in color or the amount of light these put out verses the 5 inch bulbs. I’m a happy customer. Would recommend!
Very much like a traditional 60W incandescent light bulb At the time of this review, the product name is partly incorrect. These are not 75W equivalent bulbs; they are 60W, which matches what the official product photos show. Basically, I got exactly what is shown in the product photo.I’m not sure why some reviewers have said that these are super bright and give off a blue hue.
