Same as Medline Excel Deluxe wheelchair. 19lb weight claim is without leg rests. One of the levers that is used to fold the seatback (or to keep it up straight) broke upon arrival, rendering the wheelchair useless. I had researched both this Drive wheelchair and the Medline Excel Deluxe aluminum transport wheelchairs. The Medline chair claimed to weigh 23lbs. The Drive chair claimed to be 19lbs. Beside the weight, they were both the same price and looked so identical that I finally decided to purchase the Medline one from Walmart (with the benefit of being able to…

Great chair for my Dad! This is a new transition for my 91 year old father…it became too difficult for him to walk with a walker when we go on trips and so I ordered this chair. He fits in it and it was ready to use right out of the box. I wouldn’t even count hooking on the foot rests as assembly. We bought the suggested set of 3 items and the seat pad was a perfect fit and comfortable…Thank you for making my life a little easier…

Easier on the care giver to push around and stow. Lighter, more compact, and more easily maneuverable than a regular wheelchair. Folds well and goes in back of SUV so much easier than the full size version. Also, compared to the full size drive, the arm rests come forward further, allowing better leverage when the patient tries to stand up.Brakes can’t be activated by the patient; they ARE convenient for the care-giver to apply.
