The Adjustable Height Home Bed Assist Handle from Drive Medical provides assistance for getting in to and out of your home-style bed. You won’t have to worry about the fit since the handle attaches to either side of the bed. It simply slides underneath the mattress and includes an added feature on the base bar, “no-slip foam” that helps hold the bar in place. The removable handle is part of an all steel, chrome-plated construction that is strong, solid and easy to clean. Minimum Box Spring Height: 16″ Minimum box spring height is 16″ for this product. I did not see that in the product data. Top of my box spring is 15″. To avoid an uncomfortable 2 inch “bump” in my mattress, I had to remove the feet completely. This could damage the carpet.
Good price & very useful under the right conditions I purchased this for my mother who after a hip fracture in 2014 and now a pancreatic cancer diagnosis, spends much of her time getting in and out of bed with much difficulty due to fatigue and mobility issues. She has another similar product on one side of her adjustable twin bed, however she needed something on the opposite side of her bed too – that’s when I ordered this product.BUILD QUALITYI was disappointed to see that there was some chunks of white enamel paint off…
Will not fit just any bed. Ask Amazon which beds it will fit and to put it in the description of the product. Make absolutely certain this will fit your bed as Amazon will not allow you to return it.My physical therapist suggested I buy one to enter and exit my bed after a three hour back surgery. It did not fit the bed in my home and then when I tried to return it……..Amazon said NO.Never got to use it at all.This will be a big guessing game for future customers so “BUYER BEWARE”.
