Extends Life of Fruits and Vegetables – and It Truly Works Works very well to extend life of fruit and vegetables. I’ve stored bananas for up to 11 days with these carbon filters and the bananas still tasted quite good. The peel had started to turn dark, but the inside was still in good shape. I put these carbon refill on top of the bananas and every time I ate a banana, I would remove the plastic bin from the refrigerator and fan it to get fresh air back into the plastic and blow out the gases that cause spoilage. Not as good as the origanal These just donât work as well as the older ones that were in a paper cover. These are more of a plastic type and my salads just donât stay fresh as long. Wish I could find the originals again
